Application Maintenance Support Engineer (NodeJS)

We are looking for Application Maintenance Support Engineers with strong NodeJS knowledge and a passion for teamwork and innovation. Successful hires will be part of Stratpoint’s Maintenance Support Team who provides maintenance support activities for varying projects and platforms for Stratpoint customers.

Main duties and responsibilities:

    ● Maintain the system’s reliability and operability by analyzing and fixing bugs, and identifying workarounds
    ● Investigate issues by reviewing and debugging codes
    ● Resolve incidents within specified SLAs
    ● Analyze requirements, perform impact assessment, contribute to Root Cause Analysis on issues, and outline corrective actions
    ● Participate in peer code reviews, provide comments and suggestions, and work with cross-functional teams to achieve goals
    ● Document troubleshooting steps and service restoration details
    ● Create and submit knowledge articles
    ● Ensure that documentation related to specific modules and applications are correct and up to date

Qualifications:

    ● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT/Computing or equivalent
    ● Preferably with work experience in an application maintenance role for 2-3 years
    ● Willing to work in a maintenance support role for a minimum of 2 years
    ● Must have 3 years working experience as a NodeJS Developer
    ● Applicable knowledge in NodeJS Frameworks such as Express, Serverless, similar
    ● Development experience using NodeJS in web services like REST API, SOAP, and 3rd party WSDL
    ● Commercial experience in NodeJS (version 8.10 above)
    ● Hands-on experience in writing code that connects to a Database (MySQL, DynamoDB)
    ● Experience in building applications with AWS Services (RDS, Lambda, EC2, S3).
    ● Experience in GIT version control skills
    ● Strong analytical skills and problem-solving aptitude
    ● Excellent communication skills
    ● Flexible time management for critical issues that need to be resolved within the time limit of SLAs
